AWI British Infantry

Postby mdauben » 13 Jun 2014, 15:35

I've been drooling over the beautiful pictures of the AWI British Infantry miniatures for a while now, so I finally broke down and ordered a box today! Also put in a pre-order with Amazon for the Osprey Land of the Free wargame rules to go with them. I've gamed a number of historical periods (Ancients, Pike & Shot, ACW, WWII) but never did the AWI before. I’ll have to start some research while I wait for my first box to show up. 8-)

If I get interested in playing WWI, it will be pre or without trenches allover the table/battlefield.

I am starting to "educate" my long time old fart opponents on the fun of refighting AWI battles.

Is it just me, or is there only 1 right arm for the two officers on the command sprue? I just used the right arm with pistol that was labeled as the sergeant's.

You can use the pistol arms, the sword arm or the pointing arms or the arms by their side or ones holding muskets. Your choice. You can also use arms from the Continental Army set.

Thanks! I'll keep that in mind once I get my hands on some Continentals.
