Well for those of us who live in the US (particularly southern California), I know that San Diego is hosting Gam3rcon in July:

Also in southern California, we have the second annual Strategicon coming up on Memorial day weekend (May 22-25)

also here is a resource for the San Diego area:

Well, it is not really a war game convention but the worldcon is going to be held in Spokane next month (August 19th-23rd) and it might be worth leaving business cards at since it is the worlds biggest Sci-fi convention.

this coming weekend is the the Las Vegas table top open (which looks to rival gen con  ):

https://www.frontlinegaming.org/las-vegas-open-2016/

for those of you who are female or a Father with daughters into gaming (if you are in the later and can play nice with others you can come too ;) ) , there is the girl gamer gathering in Ontario California (not Canada :P ) April 1-3.

http://www.girlgamergathering.org/

I actually know the family setting it up and it has ties to the greater LasFas community (the one that has been doing SciFi cons since before the dinosaurs), so it is almost guarantied to be a good con with a more "family friendly environment" (i.e. people don't cuss every 5 seconds, or they shouldn't be doing so at least), it is going to be a bit on the small side space wise, if you are going Just remember: it is in California not Canada.
