as requested in the future products board, I'm making this thread to discuss potential rules mechanics and systems for playing across, ancient and mediveal to sci fi settings. the first thing that we should come up with is the stat line.
I think we should limit the stats to maybe four or five, keep the book keeping easy and simple. first some stat to represent the units proficency in combat, both ranged and melee. next we should handle some kind of strength for the dealing of damage. armor to represent the units ability to take punishment. and lastly some kind of morale or command rating. I would like to know if people prefer the numbers to represent target numbers or the number of dice you get to roll in certain checks?
