Or pull the Heroscape gambit.

Indeed! It was Heroscape, as well as "The Isle of Dread" that kind of got me into a time travel kick. Imagine a group of AWI British lost in the mists and then coming upon a bunch of WWII Americans. Would they be enemies? Doesn't matter, T-Rex is coming, run, shoot, or die.

I dont know if I could 'settle' for one, its like a candy store.

I too would say that my interest in Tolkien and his entire world of Middle earth, has always given Fantasy a slight edge. HOWEVER.. since I have recently played only my 2nd AWI period game, in which we used 'All The Kings Men" rule system. My interest in historical is moving up fast. In fact as a result of those games, I 'will be' getting the AWI miniatures, hopefully soon (have to clear a few other projects first).

As for historical, I would love to see Hessians be among the last two sets for the AWI line and also some expansion on the Wars of Empire, troops from the Sudan conflict would be cool.

I voted Fantasy, but I am really interested in Historical with a Fantasy bend.
For example my Wargames Factory Greeks ally with Amazons and Centaurs to battle Skeletons and Persian Necromancers.
I have a few boxes worth of Colonial British Firing Line and Zulus with orc head swaps. Thus The Great Orc Overlord is trying to pacify his wild and less technical advanced brethren.
My Romans when not battling true historical "barbarians", are regularly guarding their borders from orcs.
For awhile now I have planned to try something using orc and skeleton heads on War of Spanish Succession bodies for an Imagi-nation setup. But have yet to get around to it.
Same thing with WWII. I have been thing about getting some Germans and making them skeletons and some Russians to convert to orcs.
More Fantasy races (more heads options) would be a wonderful thing.

I voted Historical but I was pretty close to voting Pulp. What tipped it is that I have a broad interest in proper historicals which veers towards the weird on occasion.

Ever (attempt to) play Warbots & Deathmachines, Badger?

The one good thing about it was that the crazy thing was designed to make use of the plastic model kits of mecha available back in the 1980s-90s, and I *don't* mean the itty-bitty mini kits either:

Just off the top of my head, I'd say it sounds like there was some inspiration from Anime as well. (Giant robots that is.)
You cant help but notice the giant walker, no doubt where that came from.
